About Lucy

Lucy qualified in 1999 from Birmingham University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She completed her Acupuncture training in 2002 and is a member of the AACP. In 2009, she gained a diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and in 2013, Lucy became a qualified Pilates Instructor with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute.) 

Lucy initially worked in the busy teaching hospitals in Birmingham before moving into private practice in 2002. Lucy has treated a wide range of athletes from a number of different sports. She has worked with athletes at Warwickshire County Cricket Club as well as players from Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion football academies.

Lucy also worked for many years with International athletes in both the Men and Women’s England Hockey teams. She travelled with them to many different tournaments abroad including Spain, Germany and Poland.

Lucy also treated a wide range of injuries while providing physiotherapy to the ballet dancers at the Elmhurst school for dance. She has also treated various actors and dancers while they performed at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Prior to moving to Cardiff in 2010, Lucy was the Musculoskeletal Clincal Lead/Deputy manager of a busy Private hospital in Birmingham. 

Since moving to Cardiff, Lucy has been using her vast experience to successfully treat a wide range of clients from dancers at the Sherman Theatre to athletes at Cardiff Blues rugby and football academies. 

Since completing her APPI Pilates qualification in 2013, Lucy has built up a great reputation for her Pilates rehabilitation for the treatment as well as prevention of various injuries. She has also been running popular Pilates classes in Cardiff for the past 8 years for varying levels of abilities.
